AFOWER® x Hetty Douglas

Hetty Douglas is a London-based artist whose work lives somewhere between raw emotion and refined composition. Originally from Nottingham, she studied Illustration at the University of the Arts London, but her creative language evolved far beyond traditional boundaries.

Her paintings are layered, abstract, and deeply personal—built up with materials like spray paint, acrylic, charcoal, and sometimes even plaster or cement. There’s a gritty, urban texture to her work, echoing the lived-in feel of the city and the messiness of everyday emotion.

At the core of Hetty’s practice is honesty. Her canvases speak to identity, vulnerability, confusion, rage, and hope—often all at once.  Her work has been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions like “Flooded” at Gallery Steinsland Berliner in Stockholm and “Narcissistic Tendencies” at Mott Projects in New York. Most recently, she held her first London-based solo exhibition, titled "Miracle State" with Haricot Gallery.

Blue is a recurring colour found in her work—emotionally charged, quietly bold. It’s this connection that made our collaboration on Blue Iris feel so natural.

Five one-of-a-kind, hand-painted works make up the collection, available now.
